Meet Your Photographer, Aleksandra.

Aleksandra was given her first camera at the age of three and a half. Her mother, Christine, invited her to be a “big girl” by weening off of breast feeding and receiving a “big girl gift” . Years later , in college, Aleksandra used her deeply instilled connection to her camera to process emotions of her father dying by modeling and taking photos of another photographer in graveyards and old slaughterhouses. She realized the power of being witnessed in love as well as creating something beautiful with the grief. She moved to New York where she worked under George Kunze Photography as a bat mitzvah Photographers assistant and editor for five years. Working with this team, she developed a more astute understanding of camera technique. When she moved to California, she was inspired by the west coast culture. For years she documented incredible artists known and unknown as she deepened her craft. In 2014, Aleksandra decided to combine her interests in the act of witnessing, ceremony and photography. Lovetography was born as a way to amplify the prayers of her clients through play, connection and witnessing.
